"Ohhhhh! Do you not fear the great power behind us? Or are you nothing more than an ignorant nonbeliever?"
The timelines continued to shift. Standing a safe distance away from the rampaging kabutops, the small team of pokémon had assumed fighting stances, with Candide and Rukina - holding their scepter and triangle expectantly - standing side-by-side to Faive, who held Erza on a hand stretched forward. A few minutes had passed since they struck those poses, and as their stamina and patience wore down, it was increasingly obvious that they wouldn’t be able to

Faive quickly jumped away with Erza in tow, while the Vizier plummeted to the ground, his Faint Counters shattered into dust; wings and senses lost, the pinsir fell at Lord Dome's feet, now with a broken pincer and splattered with his master's blue blood. The gargantuan kabutops stared down at its fallen servant and at the fresh wound on its torso, paralyzed with shock.
"...we agreed that you would not use your injured arm for this! What were you thinking?!"
"I had to make sure it would work, alright? That thing's still standin', but now we're closer to bringin' it down!"

"This is incomprehensible. Utterly, completely incomprehensible." The Vizier, in spite of his new strength, had once more found himself overpowered by the invaders - some of which had powerful transformations of their own. Forced to fly high into the air, simply to stay away from the enemies on the ground, he could also notice the fearlessness of those heathens against Lord Dome itself, who fared only slightly better against them. He only had to remain conscious for a little more time before some of those sacrifices fell to his Faint Counters... but he could not tell if thi

Faive always had a good memory, albeit one that was usually limited to the things he watched on TV. At that particular moment, during that battle of life or death in that dark room, one memory that stood out was that of the climatic final showdown of "Phoenix Cube", a loose adaptation of a fairy tale from Johto; at the climax of that fight, the hero Kupe had his shoulder blown apart by a hand jab from his archnemesis, Djinn Tsar Flautim. But enduring his pain, Kupe mustered enough willpower to punch his opponent even harder in the face, winning the tournament and saving th

On the spur of the moment, the army of dungeon crawlers was not able to devise an elaborate plan of action beyond "attack, attack and attack" - however, the experience gained during their exploration of the Meander allowed them to split into two groups better suited for each opponent, with no delay or need for instructions. The dark battlefield was now divided amongst those facing the Vizier, the showdown with the giant kabuto, and a few who had not yet decided who to fight; among those in the latter group were a floatzel with a bionic leg and a swampert.

The band of adventurers was greeted by a cloaked figure, his back turned to them; there was little else they were able to see in the wide, dimly-lit room, other than the brown cloak and the red-splattered horns above it.
"So very, very late."
The cultist turned and revealed himself to be a blue pinsir, gazing wickedly at the group. Some of them could now notice he was standing in front of an altar, over which rested the bloody, unrecognizable remains of another pokémon.

A third energy lance appears from thin air; the gardevoir's chest is suddenly burning with a dark purple fire, all three lances pointing at the group of adventurers.

The band of adventurers - or rather, half of their numbers - watched as the dust settled, revealing the latest modification to the long corridor: a large pile of debris, blocking the path to a yet unexplored room. Standing before the demolished hall, the gardevoir glared at the invaders with contempt and curiosity; he held a large staff on one hand, and a red egg on the other. He turned his attention to the egg.

He doesn't appear to discover anything new.

Can you tell me what your icon is. I think I've stared at it for five minutes and the best I can come up with is "surrealist". XD
PS - That's not meant as an insult and actually a bit of a compliment as I love surrealist art and art that makes me stare and wonder what the hell is going on. XD
I don't mind it at all! I think somebody told me it looked surrealist in another occasion as well... ... when it's actually something a lot simpler. It's just a sprite head of a bird (edited from a couple of Megaman sprites) pasted over a picture of José Carioca. It'll make a lot more sense now!
I had to look up who Jose* was. If it's not princesses or Minnie I don't know it when it comes to Disney oops. XD (I actually remember the cartoon, but I never would have been able to do it without a reminder. XD)
*Pardon the lack of proper e there, my alt shortcuts hate me. I get this: ‚ - when I try to do the code that works for that e on other computers. XD
